Overwhelmed by social media? Then you are in the right place. I will help quiet the chaos that is social media!

Welcome to Sandhill Social!

If you are just getting started with social media it is very overwhelming, knowing where to start can be a daunting task. I am here to offer advice to help simplify yet build your online presence. Everything you do online is building your SEO {Search Engine Optimization}, from social media sites, to a web page, etc. everything counts! When someone searches online for a keyword that match your business, you want your site{s} to be front and center.

This blog will serve as a place to stay up-to-date with social media trends and to help simplify your social media marketing. If you have any additional questions or need more help click on the connect page.

Below are the posts to begin with, these will give you some of the basics with each of these social media sites.

To get started lets talk about Facebook, this social media platform has grown and changed in so many ways. Starting as a way for college students to connect with peers, to becoming one of the biggest platforms with over 2 billion active users. A gold mine for marketers!

So how often should you post, when should you post and what should you post?!?

Instagram has become one of my personal favorite sites to use, its so clean and organized, all the posts are the same size and length…okay my OCD is showing, but I do love Instagram.

Instagram is meant to be used on your mobile phone, making it easy to snap a photo and upload it instantly.

Before signing up on Twitter, it is important to first do some research. The biggest thing to consider, is your target market using twitter. Pew Research did a study in 2016 on some of the major social media sites, there is some great information on who is using which platforms.

Twitter is fast paced and constantly changing.

About Jennie...

Hello and welcome. My name is Jennie Nollette, I live in a beautiful community in rural Nebraska. My interest with Social Media began in college but has grown since my time in the workforce. Bits and pieces of my job{s} since college included working with social media and marketing. At first it seemed crazy to think I could be paid to be on Facebook, but the more I thought about this the more I realized that isn’t as crazy as you might think. Social Media is ever changing, there are always new features and designs, keeping up with everything can be exhausting.

And that is where this blog comes in, I want this to be a central location to help make sense of, and quiet the chaos that social media entails.

I hope for this blog to start the conversation and get people thinking about the many benefits of social media and what it can do for your business!
