Business Management

TASK #1
Is it Payday yet?
Do you think Professor Dumbledore or Professor Xavier work for free?
This new school is going to have to budget money well until it gets going, how much will the new teachers and administration get paid? Will everyone get paid the same, or will it depend on the job description, or maybe where they come from? So many decisions….so little time. What about extra duty pay? A well rounded presentation is going to have to include a discussion about money. How much will each person get paid and how will it be decided? Make these decisions carefully and be ready to justify your decisions to the board of directors on presentation day.
TASK #2
Develop a School Structure
Just as every good corporation is organized from the top down, so must your new and improved school. Create a structure detailing the head of the new school district all the way down to the low man on the totem pole. Will you include a school board, superintendent, or invent a system unique to your new plan? The choices are up to you, but be sure to make wise choices about who or what has the power.....would Zeus be fond of reporting to an underling from the underworld?
TASK #3
Write a Mission Statement for the new school
What is a mission statement? What do you do with it? Why are they important? Serious thought must go into writing a mission statement, being sure that it reflects the goals of your proposed school. This project may require some extensive research, are you up to the task?
